Sidharth, a hardworking young man, was returning from work when the tempo van he was traveling in met with a fatal accident near Hearth, claiming his life. He was the sole breadwinner for his aging parents, who are now left in unimaginable grief and financial hardship.

Rajinder Puri and his wife, residents of Mohali, India, are elderly and were entirely dependent on Sidharth for their livelihood. Living in a modest home that is currently mortgaged, they face the burden of an education loan taken to support Sidharth’s journey to Canada, where he sought to build a better future for his family. With no other source of income and their two daughters married and living separately, Rajinder and his wife are now struggling to meet even their basic needs.

Sidharth was a beacon of hope for his parents, working tirelessly in Canada to provide for them and repay the loans that enabled his education and migration.
