Help Raise the Profile of The Robbins House!
Donation protected
My name is Grady Flinn, and the proceeds of this fundraiser will go to my Eagle Scout service project, which I have put together to help my favorite local museum, The Robbins House, increase its visibility in our community. The Robbins House is an informational hub, situated in the house that belonged to the son and daughter-in-law (and their family) of an enslaved person-turned-emancipated war veteran (Caesar Robbins), and is committed to “[revealing] the little-known African-American history of Concord and its regional and national importance” (robbinshouse.org). This museum is so meaningful to me and others in the Concord community, and I really want to help it to become more well-known and visited so that the wonderful work they do can be appreciated by more people.
Your generous donation will help me build two informational plaques that will educate the public about the importance of their locations to African-American and anti-slavery history and circulate The Robbins House's name. Moreover, these plaques will contain QR codes, a magical portal to the other major part of my project. The QR codes will lead to a database I am creating containing a plethora of audio excerpts read by local students, which will make information more accessible to the public. Any funds raised exceeding my goal will go directly to The Robbins House to help them fund their mission. Thank you so much for your support!
