Lets help raise funds for First Time Mama, Krystal

Please help support our dear friend Krystal through motherhood.
In 2016 Krystal made a very difficult decision, to place her daughter for adoption. Without the financial ability to raise her, she did what she thought most responsible at the time, and gave a loving couple the extraordinary gift of family. After the experience, a passion was stirred in Krystal, who then went on to become a birth and postpartum Doula helping over 60 families to date bring their babies into the world.
Krystal's daughter, Daphne, is now 5. Krystal and Daphnes parents both decided that an open adoption would be best for them .. so Krystal could still be a loving figure in Daphne's life. The relationship has been a gift for both Krystal and Daphne's families, although not without hardships that Krystal has had to learn to navigate.
Last year Krystal became pregnant again. Soon after, her relationship with the unborn child's father fell apart and she was again left alone to make yet another very difficult decision. Though she knew it would be hard on her heart, she didn't have the finances to raise a baby by herself, and found herself again leaning towards adoption.
Then, tragically, in January of 2021 Krystal lost her brother, Ken, who was about to move to Los Angeles to come and live with her through the birth. Krystal's heart was shattered, and through this painful experience she realized that keeping her baby was the right decision .. even tho she had no idea how she would do it. It was a hard choice and a giant leap of faith but she has no doubt in her heart that they were meant to be together. Kenji (named after her brother) will arrive this June.
Throughout all of this Krystal has been working full time and hasn't had the break that she needs to rest, recover and HEAL before the birth of her baby boy. We're hoping that raising this money for Krystal will encourage her to relax and take some time for herself.
I met Krystal after having a baby boy of my own while looking for a Doula. I could tell right away that she was a special type of person. Strong, kind, compassionate, brave, generous. Watching her hold my baby cemented to me that it was exactly what she was meant to be doing.
It's hard to put yourself out there, especially as a mother and a mother deep in fresh grief at that. Though Krystal is not the kind of person to ask for help, Riley and I have felt it necessary to start this campaign.
Please help us let this beautiful mother become the mother she was always meant to be.
