Who she was:

Nicola was a mum, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a grand-daughter, an auntie and a great friend. Anyone who knew my mum knows she was a woman of very many words, who would do absolutely anything for others. She was an inspiration to those who knew her.

Despite being poorly for a lot of her life, she always took the time to care and mother those around her. Using all of her strength and heart to make sure she saw others happy.

What Happened:

My mum was admitted to hospital by ambulance mid-February for what we thought was just a kidney stone. We later discovered that this was actually infected, but with a dose of antibiotics should have been treatable. This then escalated very quickly, showing signs of discomfort whilst breathing beyond her original condition. Her lungs were weak and had developed pneumonia. She was then admitted to the ICU after realising she had sepsis and stayed here for over a month. During her time in the ICU, she suffered cardiac arrest but despite all of this she kept fighting. She passed away peacefully with her family around her on the 16th March 2026, just one day after Mothers Day at the young age of 47.

What we are asking for:

My mum passed away on very unexpected circumstances, what should have been a routine check up shortly led us here. My mum had no life insurance due to her pre-existing health conditions and the cost, meaning we are now here trying to give her the best send off she deserves but very little funds.
