Help Raise a Pride Flag and Prove that LOVE ALWAYS WINS!

In 2022, the Town of Milton, NY banned the flying of the Pride flag at Woods Hollow Preserve during Pride month. In 2023, Shirleyan Ebert put up a 10-foot flagpole on her Rowland Street property to fly the Pride flag year-round. Shortly thereafter, the flag was stolen.

With the help of neighbors, a taller flag pole was installed and Shirleyan replaced the flag. Two weeks ago, this flag, a sign of welcome, allyship, and inclusion was destroyed in a hate crime. The pole was bent almost to the ground and the flag was shredded.

Shirleyan would like to replace not only the Pride flag, but to also put up an American flag and a peace flag to convey the message that love always wins and the residents of Milton are welcoming and inclusive and will not bow-down to hate.

The money raised will be used to purchase two 20-foot flagpoles, one 25-foot flagpole which comes with an American flag, a progressive Pride flag, a peace flag, concrete to install the poles, and a trail cam. Any monies raised over the amount will be donated to the Ballston Spa High School Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA).
