Please Help Rainey – We are personally matching funds!

This is Rainey. Rainey came into our lives as my Dad’s caregiver in February 2024 just after he came to live with us. Rainey is an amazing single mom to two fantastic little girls in elementary school. She works hard, she takes excellent care of my 76 year old Dad who has the cognitive challenges of moderate dementia. We are so incredibly grateful to have found her and have her help. It has been a lifesaver for us.

On February 8th she was assaulted by her brother. He punched her in the face so violently that it fractured her facial bones. While she filed charges against him, family members refused to talk to police about the incident. She really had no support, which was both infuriating and heartbreaking.

A month later, while she was still healing, a car blew through a stop sign smashing into hers on the way to work. Her face hit the steering wheel which exacerbated the fracture so much so that it did serious damage to her eye socket.

On March 20th Rainey had surgery to add a plate to protect her facial bones and move her left eye back into position. She is having vision problems and recovering slowly.

Rainey is limited in what she is able to do during her recovery including her ability to provide for her girls. She will also have bills associated with the surgery and a longer journey ahead. Our family supports her and we’re personally matching funds - we’re asking for your help to make our assistance go even further.
