My name is Raghda, and I am a mother of four children: Osama (10), Anas (8), Abdulrahman (5, who has Down syndrome), and little Mohammed (3).
We once had a simple, peaceful life in Gaza. I worked as a science teacher, and my husband worked in a private construction company. We didn’t have much, but we had love, laughter, and a small home filled with our children’s dreams.
Then the war came and in one terrible moment, everything was gone.
Our home was destroyed, and my husband’s company was completely reduced to rubble. Overnight, we lost not only our house but also our livelihood, our security, and the life we had built together.
Now we live in a small tent, trying to stay warm through the cold nights and protect our children from hunger and fear.
Osama, who once dreamed of becoming a football player, now helps me collect firewood to keep us warm.
Abdulrahman needs special care that I can no longer provide.
Anas and Mohammed ask me every night, “Mama, when will we go back home?” and I have no answer.
I am writing this with a heart full of pain, but also with a small spark of hope , hope that there are kind people in this world who still care.
We are not asking for much, only a chance to rebuild our life , a simple home to protect our children, a place where they can feel safe again, and the opportunity to start over.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps us take one step closer to safety and stability.
Your kindness can help my children smile again, and bring light back into our lives after so much darkness.
From the depths of my heart, and from my children’s hearts , thank you for reading our story, for caring, and for giving us hope.
You are the light that keeps us believing in humanity.
