Help Rafael Return Home to Puerto Rico

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I am reaching out today to share the story of my dear friend, Rafael Carlos Santos Ramirez, who is currently facing an incredibly difficult time. For the past 8-9 months, Rafael has been experiencing homelessness in Portland, Maine, and has recently lost his job. As you can imagine, this has taken a severe toll on his mental and emotional well-being.

Rafael has been brave enough to seek help, and he is currently at Maine Medical Center, where he is receiving care and support. However, he is feeling heartbroken and alone, longing to return to Puerto Rico, where he believes he can find some peace and reconnect with his family and friends.

In his own words:

“I’m at my wits' end. I have nothing and no one in my life. To my family, if there's any help, I would appreciate it. I am trying to go back to Puerto Rico, and I just want to go home.”
