Help Rafael Rebuild After Deportation
Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of someone close to me and their family, who are currently facing an incredibly difficult and painful situation. A beloved family member, Rafael, is being deported to the Dominican Republic after being taken into custody — largely due to a lack of proper support and guidance within the system.
This isn’t just a legal matter — it’s a deeply human one. Rafael is a hardworking individual who has built a life here. Unfortunately, because of recent policy changes and systemic challenges, he now faces being sent back to his country with barely enough support. In order to make a new life there he needs some helping hands.
The family is devastated, and the emotional toll has been immense.
Join me in trying to help him start over and live sustainably until he can find a job and regain stability again.
How You Can Help:
Your support — whether it’s $5 or $500 — will go directly toward:
Travel expenses for Rafael. When he is deported, he won’t be able to return for 10 years. However, if we can arrange for him to leave voluntarily, he could return in just 3 years.
Living expenses. Without support, Rafael will be forced to start over with nothing — and we want to ensure he isn’t left homeless or alone.
This isn’t just about helping one person — it’s about standing with a family in crisis. Please donate if you can, share this campaign, and help us amplify Rafael’s story. Every action, no matter how small, makes a meaningful difference.
With love and hope,
