On January 8th, 2025, Rafa Gass lost her family home in Altadena to the Eaton Fire. She evacuated safely with her 13-year-old son, their 3 cats, and 2 dogs, but they lost everything. A single mom with no home, no insurance, and no nearby family, Rafa and her son are grateful to be alive but need a lot of help getting back on their feet.

Shortly before the fire, Rafa took out a loan to invest in her business, the longstanding and much-beloved Altadena Farmer’s Market. With all the equipment lost and the community devastated, the market is most likely over, leaving Rafa with no way to recuperate the costs. Please donate whatever you can to Rafa and her family to help them through this difficult time.
