Hello, my name is Barb Hines. I am a school bus driver for LaPorte Community Schools. One of my work besties, Missy Bennett, unexpectedly passed away on May 7, 2025. We have worked together driving buses for about 14 years. Missy was a great friend to anyone who knew her and loved by so many. She will be greatly missed by so many in the community.

Missy's daughter, Rae, is also a bus driver and her only child. Her mom's sudden death puts Rae in a difficult position financially and has been overwhelming for her in every way. The hardships she will face would be immense. Rae has asked for nothing, and I know Missy wouldn't ask either. They would both be right there to help anyone who is in need. I'm asking for us to pull together in Missy's memory and help Rae with ongoing expenses and financial responsibilities.
