Help Rachel & Matt build their family!

As you all know, Rachel and Matt had their world turned upside down last year when Rachel was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer. Fortunately Rachel has a wonderful team of doctors on her side and is now officially cancer-free! However, her treatment was very difficult and required the removal of her uterus, fallopian tubes, and her ovaries; as well as about 40 days in the hospital due to numerous complications. As such, Rachel is now unable to fulfill her lifelong dream of carrying and giving birth to her own children. This isn't stopping her and Matt from working on expanding their family, though! Prior to her treatment they were able to obtain and freeze 3 embryos with their own DNA so that they can have children of their own with the help of a surrogate, and are thrilled to be moving on with this next (and hopefully happier) road of their journey! They initiated their search for a surrogate with the expectation that it usually takes a minimum of 6 months to find a match. So many people found their story so inspirational, that they had multiple offers from potential surrogates after just 4 days! Unfortunately, surrogacy is not cheap, often costing between $120k-$150k. While they were able to reduce the cost a little by utilizing the military health network, they are still about $30k short of what is required of them. Rachel has been unable to work since her diagnosis, but is hoping to ease herself back into her job this month. Rachel and Matt have been absolutely blown away by the love and support from their family and friends throughout this ordeal, and are incredibly grateful for everyone in their lives. Help us ease this enormous burden from their shoulders, and help them realize the dream of a family of their own.
