Help Rachel Fight to keep her Kids!
To know my partner, wife, best friend is to love her! She is the best mother I have ever met. She has worked for NYD for 15+ years and because she is the primary provider doesnt have full custody and does not qualify for any aid in Oswego County. While on our honeymoon her ex wife decided that since we got to vacation to Florida she was going to move to Florida and take my partners children with her. Rachel has been the main financial provider for the children their entire lives. She attends every event they have and sees them weekly. She drove an hour 1 way multiple times this week just to see them sing for 20 minutes. They are her world. Her and her ex wife share 4 children together. Because their was a CPS case against her ex wife years ago they moved the case to Oswego County from Oneida where Rachel doesn't qualify for any legal aid. I have applied tons of places and Rachel doesn't want to go in to debt and not be able to see her kids if she doesn't win and the kids move and we have to travel to see them. We have a lawyer who has helped in the past and has lowered his fees. He strongly believes this will be a tough battle and he knows who her ex wife is. Last time she said she would fight forever because her lawyer was free and my partner had to pay. We had some big hits from covid financially the same day as we found out my wife had to go to court and our entire savings went to saving our home so that our kids always have a roof over their head. Their other mothers have sold their house with no where to go in the hopes Rachel will concede because she cannot afford to fight them and they get free lawyers. Any bit you can give will help. The kids feel very torn between everyone and don't want to hurt their mother who birthed them as her ex wife always makes known she is the bio and birth mother. Its a very painful situation. Even more so being an LGBTQ+ case. And Florida is not a safe place for LGBTQ+ and their is fear my wife could lose her kids if she does move to Florida.
Thank you for your time. The holidays are coming and its very stressful. If my wife can't get a lawyer she will stand tall and defend herself and her children. But any bit anyone can help would greatly be appreciated this holiday season! My wife has worked for NYS for 15+ years and is a devoted worker and mother. But because of the amount of child support and not having primary custody doesn't get any help. Please help. The system is against those who work hard.
