**Update: Rachel and Ken are in the air flying home! Thank you for every donation, which helped pay for the extended accommodations and the one-way tickets home.**

My family, Rachel and Ken Niskanen, found themselves stranded in Israel during a war with no way home after flying there to visit their daughter. While visiting, Israel and Iran hostilities escalated, and Israel closed the airspace cancelling all flights. Tourists, like my family, have been told to prepare for an extended stay because no one knows how long this situation will last or how long it will take for them to become eligible for a flight out.

They are now in need of cash to pay for a place to live as well as food. To make things more dicey, the extended stay means my brother-in-law is losing paying work. We're asking that if anyone has a few extra pennies to spare, to please consider donating to help out my family. Any funds raised will go through me directly to my sister in Israel.
