Help Queer Youth Shine at Heartland Pride
Donation protected
It's that time of year again, PRIDE SEASON! Yay!
We are so thankful for LuLu LovelyTwirls to, once again, be able to host a Youth Parade Float at Heartland Pride Parade! BIG THANKS to HLP for their continued support of our mission in this!!!!
This year we are going PEACOCK ....
We’re creating a GIANT, colorful, youth-led Peacock Pride Float — 14 feet of fabulous feathers, hand-decorated “eyes,” and a huge splash of JOY representing queer families, creativity, and courage.
This year’s theme?
“Colorfully, Courageously, True to Who We Are”
Led by allies, queer kids, drag performers, community leaders, and their loving families, this float will stand tall (literally!) as a beacon of pride, art, and unity.
But we need your help! We learned last year that decorating a float is expensive, and so is parade candy!
Your donations this year will help cover:
Lots of fabric, glitter, gems, glue, wood, foam, PVC, tulle, candy, a speaker, and so much more!
Why It Matters:
This isn’t just a float. It’s a statement.
- It’s queer youth and families showing up and shining.
- It's a space for youth allies to show support to their friends and community.
- It’s a chance for kids to lead and be seen.
- It’s community-built, glitter-fueled, joy-powered art.
Your donation helps fund a safe, vibrant space for self-expression — where every feather tells a story, and every child knows they belong.
✨ Ways You Can Help:
-> Donate what you can — $5, $10, $50 — every bit helps!
-> Share this page with your friends and chosen family
-> Volunteer to help sew, glue, craft, or walk with us!
-> Drop off materials, decorations, or candy if you’re local
We’ll Post Updates!
We’ll be posting photos and updates along the way — from the early fabric cutting to the final sparkles before the parade. You’ll be part of the magic!
Thank You
Thank you for supporting queer youth, drag joy, family love, and this beautiful, big-hearted community float. We can't wait to show the world just how colorful and courageous we are.
