Update: Thank you for continuing to support our family
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has prayed for us, donated, shared our story, and followed our journey. What started as a family of 5 unexpectedly became a family of 9, and the love we have received has truly carried us through.
Our quadruplets are growing beautifully and keeping us very busy. As many of you know, raising four babies at once while also caring for our older children has been both a blessing and a huge adjustment for our family.
The needs of our household have changed over time. Support now helps with daily essentials for the babies and our family, including diapers, wipes, formula/food, clothing, transportation, childcare support, and household expenses as we continue to navigate life as a large family.
We are so grateful for every single person who has helped us along this journey. Your kindness has allowed us to keep showing up for our children and continue building a stable, loving home for all seven of our babies.
Please continue to keep our family in your prayers, and if you feel led to donate or share, we truly appreciate it more than words can express.
With love,
The Abrahams Family
Update! Thank you to everyone that has donated and blessed our family. We so appreciate it. The quads have been home for 3months now. They are currently 4 months. My husband had to goback to work full-time at his restaurant cravn Caribbean due to staffing issues. I am currently home full-time with the babies by myself unril we find reliable help. Our main issue is transportation currently we dint have a big enough vehicle and my friend will pick up groceries while she is out when she can. We do not get any government assistance we use kendamil goat formula and we are spending 300 a week on formula at 3oz of milk.
God has a way of showing us that the best-laid plans can change in an instant, but He will always get the glory!
In May, Ronjera and Carlos Abrahams found out they were pregnant with triplets. That was surprise enough, but imagine on their next maternity visit in July, they found out there were not three, but four babies. Needless to say, they had to wrap their heads around that and start thinking about raising a family of 7 kids. They already have 3 sons: Carlos, 13; Christian, 8; and Cameron, who just had a birthday and turned 4. He will share a birthday month with the quadruplets.
Ronjera has multiple businesses; she has a hair salon business and performs home decorating for owners of Airbnbs and VRBOs, in addition to providing services to anyone who desires to have their personal residence upgraded. While Carlos is a trained chef (Chef Loso), he picked up a passion for cooking from his mother and runs a takeout restaurant called Crav’n Caribbean located at 2200 Thrift Road in Charlotte, North Carolina, where they live. He has a large and loyal following. He is also a finalist for the Chef of the Year award.
Here’s a link to a news story that was done on the family when they found out they were pregnant with quadruplets - https://www.facebook.com/share/v/iSoaAKM6p1yfDzEt/.
Family and friends gathered on Sunday, December 1 to hold a shower in honor of Ronjera and Carlos welcoming quadruplets in January. The conception of these babies was natural, no intervention, and God-willed. It was a great event full of love and laughter.
As God's timing would have it, after the event, Ronjera experienced pressure on her cervix and went to the bathroom. Her water broke in the bathroom. At that moment, it was a mad rush to get her to the hospital. Once she and Carlos arrived at the hospital, she was kept and doctors determined they would monitor the situation for 24 hours and make a decision.
Mind you, Ronjera carried those babies with no problems. Doctors told her she was a perfect person to carry them and she did, with minimal disruption to her everyday life.
On December 2, and at 31 weeks, the doctor made the decision to give Ronjera a c-section and the babies were delivered:
Aniyah Love 11:10 am
Carter Michael 11:10 am
Cayden Myles 11:11 am
Ariyah Reign 11:12 am
Baby B - Carter started the party. All babies were born crying; three are currently in NICU dealing with jaundice and being given a little oxygen, but for the most part, all babies are healthy and just putting on more weight to be able to go home. Baby Carter, who started everything, is having no issues and laying back. He will definitely be remembered as the one who wanted out and made it happen!
As you know, with this number of babies, and having to buy everything four times, AND them coming earlier, has caused some concerns for Ronjera and Carlos. Family and friends have helped out as much as they can with gifts and monetary gifts, but the main thing they are struggling with is transporting 7 kids. They are in need of a van and anything you can contribute to help towards this much-needed necessity is very much appreciated. Also, the registry is still open if you want to donate that way - https://www.amazon.com/baby-reg/ronjera-abrahams-february-2025-charlotte/16EVAVGZI3MEW?ref_=cm_sw_r_mwn_dp_JJ7PWW1R9JP2MR9KNBRA&language=en_US
Please know that no donation is too small. Please share this on your Facebook page so that it gets as much exposure as possible. This is no small undertaking, so we need to reach as many people as possible. Thank you!!
AMAZING FUN FACT – The girls are identical and the boys are identical!!!
If you know of resources to help with this effort, or know of resources to help with the care of the quads, please let us know. Thank you!
