As a local photographer, I’ve made it a personal mission, along with other local volunteers, to visit Punto Zero—a small mental health facility in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico that provides shelter and care for about 35 residents—whenever I can. Each visit reminds me how much heart and courage live within those walls, even amidst scarcity. Through my photography, I’m trying to raise awareness and donations to meet some of their most urgent needs: new mattresses and baseboards so residents can rest with dignity, and a reliable vehicle to help staff collect donated food and clothing from around the city. Every contribution, no matter the size, becomes part of something deeply human—a gesture that restores comfort, hope, and the belief that kindness can still change lives.
