Help Alauni Orphanage in Uganda Meet Basic Needs

MACHINE #1: DELIVERED!

Hello!

While I was browsing YouTube, I found a livestream of a small orphanage/school in Uganda. I've been following them for about 8 weeks now, and I'm convinced that this is legitimate. The gentleman who runs the orphanage is Brother Mwanja Sadat, an R.N. He is so gracious when he receives donations of any kind, and he shows exactly what he does with the funds, including following the wishes of the donor.

I have watched this place go from weathered brick walls to smooth, painted walls. They didn't have water or electricity. Several folks independently donated enough to run water and electricity lines. Other donations went to enclosing the playground with added fencing, recreational equipment, and even food.

Why do I want to gift them with $2K?

I discovered that, prior to the water connection, the foster mothers carried water from next door and washed clothes for 30+ children by hand.

These ladies need a laundromat, but a couple of washing machines and clotheslines are a good start.

Now that they have the water and power, I hope to get them enough funds to buy two simple, mechanical machines (as opposed to computerized).

Who am I? Annette G. from Maryland. I am soon to be a retired public librarian. I have heard people say that American kids are spoiled. If you meet these little ones by watching a few of their vids, you may want to spoil them just as much.
