In the rural community of Gaa Musa in Nigeria, families thirst for water. Here, access to water is critically limited and most of the people residing in this community do not have access to safe drinking water.

 

Community members confirm things are better during the rainy season because when it rains, at least they can get contaminated water accumulated in septic tanks. During the dry season, even this source is no longer available. They must spend hours every day walking in search of water.

 

Globally, a child dies from a waterborne illness every 90 seconds. This is entirely preventable. With your help, we can make life better. Your gift will provide resources to build a water borehole facility which will provide life changing clean water and improved health to families in Gaa Musa.

 

A borehole is a simple but robust mechanism that can extract water from great depths of over 100 feet underground. Due to the large volume of water that can be extracted and their durability, boreholes can support entire communities with access to clean water every single day.

 

Upon completion of the water borehole, we will provide an update with feedback report including pictures of the borehole benefiting the community as well as details of its location.
