Help Provide Essentials for Children in Peru
Donation protected
Dear friends and supporters,
In the next few weeks, my sister Aileen and I will be embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Peru with a mission close to our hearts. During this trip, we will have the opportunity to provide essential items such as socks, shoes, and blankets to children and indigenous people in a remote village in the ancient town and temple of Ollantaytambo.
This cause is particularly meaningful to us because of our father’s story. Born and raised in Peru, our father was lucky enough to receive his first pair of shoes from a much-loved professor when he was just a child. In gratitude for this life-changing gift, our father later helped bring his professor and his family to the USA, assisting them in becoming US citizens. Our father traveled to Peru often, always bringing gifts in the spirit of Ayni, the Andean principle of reciprocity.
In honor of our father and the principle of Ayni, we are fortunate to continue his legacy by bringing something unique and heartfelt to these children. Many of them lack basic necessities that we often take for granted. Your generous donation can make a significant impact on their lives, bringing warmth and comfort to these sweet kids. If you’d like to be a part of this mission and help bring a smile to these children’s faces, please consider donating.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.
Thank you for your support and kindness.
