My name is Tyisiha Henry, and I am the Executive Director of Forsyth Senior Estates. I built this community to be more than just a place to live—it is a home where every resident is treated with dignity, care, and compassion. We operate under North Carolina’s Multi-Unit Assisted Housing with Services (MUAH) model, which means we provide housing while licensed third-party providers deliver care. We are registered not licensed. I have always worked to ensure that our operations are in full compliance with this framework, putting the well-being of our residents and staff first.

Despite our careful approach, we have faced repeated investigations and Cease and Desist notices. What makes this situation especially difficult is that no court has ruled that we violated any law, no formal enforcement action has been finalized, and no corrective plan has been required—yet we continue to be treated as if a final judgment has already been made. What is even more troubling is the disparity: other communities operating under the exact same model as ours have been given the opportunity to clarify, correct, and move forward, including having public notices removed. We have not been given that same path. This has created not only legal and financial strain, but also real harm to our reputation and stability.

This is not just about a business—it is about residents who could lose their home, families who trusted us, and staff who depend on this work to survive. I carry that responsibility every single day while trying to hold everything together. I am now asking for help to cover legal expenses, maintain operations, and protect the people who depend on this community while we fight for fairness and due process. If you believe in fairness, in protecting vulnerable people, and in standing up when something isn’t right, I ask that you support, share, or simply keep us in your prayers. This is not just a facility—this is home, and I am doing everything I can to protect it.
