Help Protect and Love Asian Americans in NYC

Hi,

 

My name is Joey and I am an NYC resident. There has been a continuous rise in violence and aggression towards Asian Americans throughout the USA, especially in New York City.

 

Our people are hurting. We don't feel safe and are scared every time we walk the streets of what we call home. My friends tell me their fears and how concerned they are. How we have to turn our heads as we quickly rush to unlock our doors to go home, how we have to stand behind the subway pillars from the fear of getting pushed or attacked, how we are anxious for our parents and grandparents who are vulnerable. We need to protect each other and we need help.

 

I recently saw a video of thousands of people lining up in NYC (many Asian American females and elderly) to get pepper spray. This breaks my heart to see how desperate our people are and how badly they want to feel safe. My goal with these funds is to help this cause by:

 

 

I know this won't fix the problem and hate we are getting, but it will bring some form of protection in the meantime. I hope the world can have less hate and learn to embrace and love Asian people.
