My dear friends and owners of Proffitt Apiaries have suffered a great loss today. Tons of their bee equipment was destroyed by a fire. The source of the fire is still unknown, and they are completely devastated. Dustin Proffitt and his dad, Roger Proffitt, work 7 days a week through the hot South Ga heat to provide our local farmers with bees to keep food on our tables. Now, roughly $15,000 worth of equipment, including feeding totes, boxes, feeding buckets, frames, lids, pallets, and Roger’s vehicle, is burned to ash. This family-owned business needs our help. Dustin has a wedding in just a couple of weeks and 2 kids to feed. Roger and his wife also depend greatly on this business. These are great people who would quite literally give the clothes off their backs to help someone, and I pray everyone reading this will lend a helping hand to them. Any little bit will help, and the whole Proffitt family would be more than appreciative of your willingness to help.
