Dear friends, family, neighbors, and compassionate supporters,
We humbly ask for your help on behalf of a family, a loving family of three from Oaxaca, Mexico, who recently immigrated to South Central LA in search of safety, opportunity, and a better future.
This hardworking couple, now blessed with a newborn baby girl, has spent the past 2 months navigating unimaginable challenges. They run a small taco vending business in La Puente, which has been their sole means of income. But due to heightened ICE activity and recent raids, they’ve been forced to drastically reduce their work hours, living in constant fear of detention and separation.
As a result, the family has been struggling to make ends meet. They missed last month’s rent, and are now at risk of facing eviction. Their landlords have shown no compassion, despite the family's vulnerable circumstances.
The family is reaching out to the community with open hearts, asking for support during this incredibly difficult time. Funds raised will go toward:
Covering back rent to prevent eviction
Providing food and daily essentials for the family and their newborn baby
Supporting their small business so they can safely return to work
Covering basic living expenses during this uncertain period
This is not just about money — it’s about showing solidarity with a family trying to survive, build a life, and raise a child with dignity and hope in a new country.
Please consider donating, sharing, and spreading the word. Any amount — large or small — can make a profound difference.
Let’s stand with the family and remind them that they are not alone.
With gratitude and love,
Erika Medina
