Hello family and friends! I am requesting a GoFundMe for my mother, Herbert Lee Butler (Lyon), a retired registered nurse. Both she and my uncle, John Lyon, a retired captain for the Durham Fire Department, are the remaining two siblings of the seven children of the Lyon family. The "Lyon" name was honored by the "Lyons Farm Elementary" and the "Lyon Farm," a new subdivision in Durham. The school has a number of pictures and documents that have honored the family. It gives high respect to my grandparents, Ed and Eula Lyon, who are part of the original 70 acres of the property. My mother has 2 acres, and the home has minor repairs and needs to be restored. I would love your contributions to have the home repaired and the structures stabilized. I would love to have the home remain as the legacy to the "Lyon" name. My goal is to have a "Family Reunion" sometime next summer.
