Help Us Raise $3,000 to Restore Interurban History in Chesterland, Ohio!
The Cleveland & Eastern Interurban Historical Society & Museum is working to bring an iconic piece of local transit history back to life. We are seeking to raise $3,000 to purchase and install two wooden electric poles with bracket arms adjacent to our display track, recreating a portion of the original overhead electrical system that once powered the interurban cars along the C&E Railroad.
These poles will be installed at Scotland Station, located on the grounds of the Chesterland Historical Foundation, and will serve as a powerful visual reminder of the electric railway that connected our communities over a century ago. This project will enhance the authenticity of the station site, support educational programming, and preserve a unique piece of Northeast Ohio’s transportation heritage.
Your contribution, large or small, helps us honor the legacy of the C&E Railroad and continue building a living, its' history for future generations.
