Heylipol Church is a landmark of Tiree’s heritage (island in the Inner Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland), and now it is being sold. Heylipol Community Trust was established as a charity so that the people of the Isle of Tiree can save Heylipol Church and reimagine it as a vibrant new community hub and worship centre.

The Church of Scotland has agreed to an off-market sale with Heylipol Community Trust for the valuation price of £60,000, with the sum required by 7 February 2027. We urgently invite you to work together with us to ensure that this historic building remains in community hands.

Why it matters
• Protect and restore Heylipol Church as a precious community asset at the heart of Tiree.
• Create a welcoming, lively space for community events, social enterprise, and shared activity.
• Support Tiree’s wellbeing, sustainability, nature, heritage, and culture for residents and visitors alike.

We anticipate three key fundraising phases of purchase, essential repairs, and developing the building and grounds. Our goal for Phase 1 (purchase) is £75,000 by 7 February 2027: the purchase price of £60,000 plus £15,000 to cover legal fees, surveys, and operational costs. Any funds made available beyond this will be designated toward Phase 2, essential repairs. Please help us raise the funds needed to secure this treasured building and unlock its next chapter — a place where community, creativity, and worship can flourish together.
