Hi, my name is Bonét, and I’m fighting to save my grandparents’ home in East New York, Brooklyn—the place where my family's story began.
In the late 60s, my grandparents, who moved from Puerto Rico to New York, bought this house. It became the heart of our family—where four generations gathered for birthdays, holidays, and late-night talks on the stoop. If these walls could talk, they’d tell stories of love, resilience, and culture.
But after my grandparents passed in 2020 and 2021, my family wants to sell the house. I can’t let that happen. This isn’t just a house—it’s the last piece of my grandparents' legacy. My abuelo, known for his long walks with his Yorkie, and my abuela, who waved at everyone from the stoop, were the soul of this block. Their love and presence still live in this home.
I’m raising money to keep the house in our family—to honor my grandparents, preserve our history, and continue their legacy in East New York. Every donation, big or small, brings me one step closer to saving this home.
If you believe in family, legacy, and keeping our history alive, please donate or share this campaign. Let’s #KeepLaCasa together.
Thank you for your support!
