My name is Nicole and I’m currently 24 weeks pregnant expecting my second child. I was previously working in the hospitality industry in San Francisco, California as a housekeeper. Due of the recent COVID-19 pandemic and being high risk because of my pre-existing health issues and homeschooling my 7 year old I had to leave my job. It was the best decision I could make for the safety of my family and I.

At this point in time I’ve had to cancel important events like my gender reveal, baby shower, and doctor appointments. I’ve recently applied for unemployment benefits and was denied. I’m running out of options and resources. I have been unable to buy supplies for my baby. I fear that after my city reopens I won’t be
to return to work. I tried reaching out to Social Services and haven’t had any luck due to business closures.

I’m currently looking for housing for my children and I. Unfortunately, due to my financial circumstances and living in the Bay Area it’s been quite stressful. I’d be so appreciative to those who could help me during this tough time and to those who can share. God bless you all.
