This Is Wearside is run by fans, for fans and we’re asking for your help. We’re a volunteer-led group that exists to support Sunderland AFC and the wider community.

Our goal is simple: to bring colour, passion, and pride to the Stadium of Light through powerful matchday displays and regional campaigns that celebrate everything Wearside stands for.

This fundraiser will help us cover some of the key costs that keep us going and allow us to keep pushing the bar higher every time:

• Repairs & Maintenance: After dozens of games, our flags, surfers and materials take a beating. Some, like our beloved TIW surfer, are in desperate need of repair.

• New Stock & Equipment: To create even bigger and better displays — and new ideas we’ve never done before — we need fresh materials and better infrastructure.

• Running Costs: From transport to safe storage, we’ve got real-world expenses to keep displays moving and protected.

Everything we raise stays within This Is Wearside. None of it is used personally, it all goes straight back into the group and into making more unforgettable moments for supporters.

The passion, the energy, the noise, it all starts with you. Your support allows us to create spectacles that lift the roof off the SoL and turn it into a fortress.
