Help Pine Ridge Families with Nutritious Food
Donation protected
Food is needed on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
Pine Ridge Indian Reservation is located in the southern part of South Dakota. There are roughly 50,000 enrolled tribal citizens. Pine Ridge is located in Oglala Lakota County, the poorest county in the US. 97% of the population lives far below the U.S. federal poverty line, with a median household income between $2,600 and $3,500 per year.
An average of 17-18 people live in one home. The majority of homes are poorly insulated and unsafe, and food is a huge need in most of them.
First Families Now strives to provide families with nutritious food to help with hunger. We encourage you to help our families with food and vegetables. We want to budget $150 per family to help them with some meals. Any contribution would help a family in need.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
