Help Pinceladas Community Center find a new home!

Hi everyone - this fundraiser is a humble request to support a new home for a beloved community center (nicknamed “Pinceladas” or “brush strokes” in English) in Villa Maria, Argentina.
As Argentina experiences a severe economic crisis, inflation is making life very difficult for many, including some dear friends who have faithfully run this community center for more than 11 years who are struggling to find a way to continue its services. The center has been great pillar of hope serving youth and women in the neighborhood of San Nicolas with constant education, arts, and sports activities for kids, as well as a women’s cooperative amidst many social services shutting down across the country. I know their work intimately, as I had the honor of serving alongside some of the most generous teachers, social workers, and volunteers at Pinceladas for six months as a college student, and it shaped me into who I am today working in the humanitarian field.
Our goal is to raise $40,000 USD to purchase a permanent community space in the neighborhood for Pinceladas to remain as a community institution to love and serve young people and families living there. If we can find 4,000 people to give $10 each, we can reach our goal. We believe this is more than possible by reaching out to the extensive network of lives Pinceladas has touched, mine especially. I will coordinate donations to reach Pinceladas directly from the US, and I would love to answer any questions you have, or tell you stories about this special group.
