We are reaching out to family, friends, and kind-hearted supporters during one of the most difficult times our family has ever faced.
Our precious granddaughter Phoebe, the youngest child of Coen and Josie, is just two years old and was born with Dravet Syndrome, a rare and severe form of epilepsy. Despite her young age, Phoebe has already endured more than any child should, including numerous hospital stays that have taken a significant emotional and financial toll on her and her family.
Tragically, just days after her second birthday, on 13 January, Phoebe was rushed to the hospital after presenting with sepsis. Her condition deteriorated rapidly, and she was urgently placed into a coma before being flown from Cairns to Townsville, where she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
We are incredibly grateful that Phoebe is now showing positive signs of improvement. However, she still has a long and challenging road to recovery ahead. Throughout this time, her devoted parents have remained by her side around the clock, while also caring for Phoebe’s big sister, Cilla.
We are deeply thankful for the overwhelming support shown by our extended family and friends during this incredibly difficult period. Your prayers, love, kindness, and time have not gone unnoticed, and they continue to mean more to us than words can express.
We are hoping to raise a minimum of $5,000 to help ease the financial burden on the family, including medical expenses, travel, accommodation, and everyday living costs. Any support will allow them to focus on what matters most — being there for Phoebe during her recovery.
Any donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, love, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
