Hello to our amazing followers!

As you know, Phelicia Jones works tirelessly and year-round, for the community – many years running. She has just recently finalized holiday season aid to the Bayview with the “dream team,” as she calls us! – through rain, sleet, or snow, as they say, she and the team have been out weekly since November providing direct aid.

We have a special ask – for Phelicia’s upcoming milestone birthday this year, we (her “dream team”) want Phelicia to take a real, much needed break. Her life and efforts and resources have been so focused on helping and serving others, that it has been years since she has had a real vacation.

As part of the community that makes our work possible, we ask that you contribute something toward Phelicia having the restful break she deserves.

Who knows how many hundreds of people Phelicia Jones, MCP, founder of Wealth and Disparities in the Black Community, has helped through her work? – she has worked directly with hundreds of incarcerated young men and their families to improve their lives through her “Discovering Your True Self” work; she has spearheaded providing direct aid in the form of groceries, gift cards and cash to the Bayview; she has brought politicians and law enforcement into direct communication with the Bayview community in an effort to improve relationships and improve lives; and through her work, the systemic problems the community has faced with the San Francisco Police Department over the years received national and international press and attention – as SFPD underwent the federal DOJ COPS program.

We could go on and on. But suffice it to say – so many people feel the benefits of the ongoing and persistent work of this one woman, Phelicia Jones. We want her to have the break she deserves this year, because she needs it and because she deserves it.
