Hi friends. I am here to ask the community for help with an emergency surgery for Petunia Pickle Bottom. From the day she was born, she has been a fighter. She was the last baby to hatch, needing assistance getting out of her shell. She was born with leg paralysis (slipped tendon). That didn't stop her from growing and fighting to live. She is the sweetest baby girl, always wanting to be held and laying her head on my chest.
At 9 weeks old, we were able to find a certified avian veterinarian who is going to give her a chance at a quality life with the assistance of a wheelchair. She is going to undergo surgery on her left leg, as it is currently rotated 180 degrees. The surgery will straighten her leg, allowing her to have the strength to maneuver in her new wheels. The veterinarian will also be making her a shoe for her left foot.
Some people say, "It's just a chicken," but to me, she is much more.
I am willing to do everything in my power to help her live a long, fulfilling life.
Would you be willing to help Petunia on her journey?
