Help Pets and Livestock Affected by Hurricane Helene
Tax deductible
Hello, my name is Dorie Kincaid and I live in Southwest Virginia. I really wanted a way to help support the relief efforts of my Southern Appalachia neighbors in North Carolina and Tennessee from the terrible devastation of flooding from Hurricane Helena. While I am not able to drive down there and help physically, I decided to help raise funds for those that are directly involved. I choose the Oconee Cultivation Project because they are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. This Fund Raiser is to support the efforts of organizations contributing to the relief efforts of Hurricane Helena in Southern Appalachia through "Darlin' Appalachia"
In particular, I am raising funds to support pets and farm animals who survived the disaster through the nonprofit operating under the Oconee Cultivation Project (EIN 81-2994931) and was formed in response to Hurricane Helene. All funds collected will go directly to this organization. With funds raised, Darlin' Appalachia will provide relief to areas of Appalachia affected by Hurricane Helene by: helping pets and live stock as well as:
(1) facilitating water transportation
(2) funding transport for the delivery of donated items
(3) funding rescue efforts and transportation of rescued or deceased victims
(4) funding the rescue, boarding, and/or delivery of donated items for affected farms livestock
(5) funding the funerals of those lost to Hurricane Helene.
The Mission:
Supporting and revitalizing the people and culture of Appalachia who have been affected by Hurricane Helene.
The Vision: Appalachia as an economically and environmentally thriving region whose people remember and honor its unique culture.
If you also aren't able to physically help our neighbors and their animals, and would like to do your part, please help today by donating and/or sharing this link.
Your donation is tax deductible!
