Help Sarah and Peter Rebuild

Hi there. I am Pamela and this fundraiser is for my brother Peter and his family. He, Sarah, and their two children lost their home and all of their possessions to the Sparks Lake fire near Kamloops, BC on June 30th. They left as the flames approached their home.

Their Story

Sarah, Peter, Stone, and Illya have spent the better part of the last year homesteading this land. They brought life into it with the intention of opening a ranch and business complete with guest cabins where they will live sustainably and build community. They built a garden, greenhouse, and watched their children grow.

Why I am asking for help

Their family home burned in a wildfire and they are now displaced, lucky to have a soft place to land with friends in Kamloops. I wanted to list the items that they lost but it is not possible; it was a home full of treasured items, tools, clothing, toddler and children's belongings, bicycles, instruments, art and supplies, and the standard home necessities we always take for granted, which now they have none of.

The goal of this fundraiser is to help them replace some of the possessions they lost to the forest fire. They fully intend to start again at the same location, because their dreams did not burn with the house.

Sarah, Peter, and the kids are thankful to be safe and while they are still devastated by their loss they are forever grateful for any support that they receive.
