Aid for the victims of the Ukraine war

Hi, my name is Nadia. I live in London. I love this city, it's where I belong, and it allows me to meet amazing people every day.

 

I’m also Ukrainian. I grew up in Mykolaiv, a port city located near the Black Sea, the largest shipbuilding center of Ukraine and most importantly my hometown, where I still have friends and family.

 

On 24th February, war came to Ukraine, war came to my home.

 

I am organizing this fundraiser to help people in Mykolaiv who are in need at this particular moment. There are so many of them, elderly citizens, women, newborns, animals, the list is long.

 

I cooperate with a few brave volunteers who are my close friends and who are on the ground in the middle of the chaos doing their best to help. They work non-stop to organize food, medicine, and shelter for people. They take it day by day, prioritizing people who need help urgently.

 

What we’ve learned in this war is that it is merciless, it has no dignity, it is insidious. The established humanitarian organizations are struggling to get help to places like Mykolaiv. We cannot plan what will be tomorrow, but we can help people to survive today.

 

People in Mykolaiv need your help. These donations will be used to buy food and medicine and organize the delivery of essential items to Mykolaiv by volunteer drivers. Our goal is to use these donations as effectively as possible. We want to make sure people who couldn't leave the city are looked after and that they’re not alone. The whole world can’t be there with them, but it can help them.
