Hello, my name is Penny Serna. I currently live temporarily in a nursing home. I am 52 years old and have been a dialysis patient for 12 years.
I am trying to raise money to find a place to live. I have no money to start. I am currently looking for a place; deposits are high and application fees are expensive. I have to turn bills on and need help with everything. I have to start over.
This would cover furniture and anything I need for a home, especially for ramps and rails. I am hoping to accomplish my goal because I'm ready to get out of the nursing home.
Being able to start over means everything to me. I haven't had a home in 2 years. To lose everything has been hard on me....
- It's hard when you can't pay for these things needed. All I have is my word and the faith that I carry in my heart. I will continue to have hope and move forward and try to get where I need to be. By the grace of God, I will get the help I need.
When I am released from the nursing home, I can get back on the kidney transplant list (which I got taken off because I was going to the nursing home for rehabilitation). So, therefore, when I'm released from the nursing home, I can get back on the list.
This would pay for transportation back and forth to the doctor's office, food, and hotel.
I am greatly appreciative that I have been given the opportunity to ask for the help I am asking for.
Thank you for taking the time out to read my story and God bless you!!!!
