Help Penelope Heal: Heart Surgery Fund
Don protégé
Hello everyone,
As many of you know, we had planned to host a fundraiser for our sweet Penelope, but today we received news that things are moving faster than we anticipated. Her doctors have decided to push up some of her appointments and schedule her open heart surgery for February 4th, 2025. As a result, we are unable to hold the fundraiser at this time and are turning to this GoFundMe to help us through this unexpected and urgent time.
For those of you who are new to Penelope’s story, welcome. Penelope was born in April, and in September, she was diagnosed with Alagille Syndrome. In October, she was diagnosed with SNAP25, both of which are rare genetic disorders that led us to a series of specialists, including her cardiologist. After further testing, she was diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary artery stenosis and high pressure in the lower chamber of her heart. This condition requires open heart surgery at the end of this month to not only improver her quality of life but ultimately save her life.
As parents, we are doing everything we can to stay strong for Penelope, but the financial strain of this journey is immense. Between taking time off work, covering travel costs, medical supplies, hospital stays, and ongoing care, the expenses are quickly adding up. This fund will help us focus entirely on Penelope’s health and recovery without the added worry of financial burdens.
Any donation—no matter the size—will make an enormous difference in helping us provide the care and attention our daughter needs. We are truly grateful for your love, support, and prayers during this challenging time.
As a small token of our gratitude, if you make a donation, please send us your address via the chat function to receive a special sticker in honor of Penelope’s journey. The top donor will receive a (mostly) custom mural created by a talented artist. For a glimpse of their work, please visit their website at
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us. Your support means the world.
