Need help for our beautiful grandmother Hilda

Dear family and friends ,

I hope this message finds you all well . I am writing to you today with a heavy heart , as our favorite lady , our nana/abuela has fallen ill . In September 2023 she suffered a severe fall , which resulted in a head injury and bleeding . This unfortunate incident led her to the nursing home , where she has been recieving care ever since .

Despite her age and health condition , our grandmother is the toughest cookie you'd ever meet ! She is resilient & determined to overcome this challenging phase . However, the path to recovery is not just about physical health ; it also involves financial stability .

We have been diligently applying for Medicare to help cover the cost of her care. Unfortunately the approval process is lengthy and we do not know when we will see the benefits of this assistance. This delay has left our grandparents in a financial bind , as the cost of private pay for just two months of care is $25,000. This amount is beyond their means and we fear that we may not be able to continue providing the quality care or grandmother deserves.

Our grandmothers retirement & pension fund , which was used to support her and her husband has basically been depleted by medical and nursing home care . This has left her husband in a precarious situation , struggling to maintain their family home which they've owed for over 50+ years & raised their children , grandchildren and great grand children in . We cannot bear the thought of adding to his stress during this difficult time .

We are reaching out to all of you , our family and friends , in the hope that you can help us raise the funds needed to continue providing our grandmother with the best possible care . Every little bit helps and we are greatful for any contribution you can make .
