About a month ago, 4 month old Roman Bennet was diagnosed with Sagittal synostosis which is a birth defect in which the bones in his skull join together too early. For Roman this caused his skull to grow out lengthwise. If left untreated the head deformity could become more severe, cause pressure on the brain, seizures and developmental delays. Last week Roman had a portion of his skull removed for the bones to hopefully grow back normally. Roman will need to wear 2 to 3 different helmets for about 6 months to reshape his skull and protect his brain while the bones are regrowing. Despite having medical insurance, insurance will not fully cover the cost until $13,000 have

been paid. The first helmet alone will cost over $800 after insurance. This surgery was not planned for and any help with surgery and helmet expenses would be greatly appreciated.
