Help Paul’s family while he battles cancer

Update Nov 29:
It is with profound sadness that we share an update regarding Paul’s battle with cancer. He recently underwent a PET scan, and the results have confirmed that the colon cancer has unfortunately metastasized to multiple areas in his lungs.
Regrettably, this means that treatment options are now focused on managing the illness rather than seeking a cure, as I have been informed that he is facing a terminal diagnosis. Medical professionals have provided him with some treatment alternatives to prolong the limited time that remains, but they have indicated that individuals in this situation typically have a prognosis of around two years.
This news is truly devastating, and our family and Paul are beginning to navigate the complex emotions that arise from it. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support you have all shown during this challenging time. We encourage you to continue reaching out and to make plans to gather, as Paul wishes to cherish the time he has left with all of you, our beloved friends and family.
original post:
I’m reaching out to share the story of my brother, Paul, and his incredible family who need some help from us, their community. Since July 2022, Paul has fallen sick and has been on a challenging journey after being diagnosed with colon cancer in February 2023. He bravely faced surgery to remove a significant portion of his colon and completed chemotherapy, entering remission in November 2023.
Unfortunately, in July 2024, we received the devastating news that the cancer had returned. Due to its location, surgery wasn’t an option, leading to more rounds of chemotherapy and the addition of radiation. Just as he completed this grueling treatment, new challenges emerged with spots found on his lungs, raising concerns that the cancer may have spread.
This ongoing battle has understandably taken a toll on Paul and Jessica, leaving them unable to work during this critical time. They have two daughters living at home, one who is 23 and the other just 6. As they navigate this difficult path, they find themselves in a financial bind where they could use some help.
If you feel moved to help, any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to Paul and his family. Your generosity could provide them with some relief during this trying time, and I know they would be deeply grateful for your kindness.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering supporting a family in need. Together, we can show them they are not alone in this fight.
