Help Pauline's Family Rebuild After Hurricane

Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Pauline “Lorna” Simpson. I’m reaching out with a humble heart to ask for help for my family in my hometown of Black River, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. The eye of Hurricane Melissa last week passed directly over our town, and it caused terrible damage to many homes, including my family’s. Their roof (pictured here) was badly damaged, and with the rains still coming, it’s been a real struggle to keep everyone safe and dry. We are worried about disease and hunger from this horrible situation.

I’ll admit, I feel awkward asking for help, but I know this is one way I can try to make a difference for the people I love most. My goal is to raise $2,500 to help replace the roof and make the house livable again.

If you’re able to give, no matter how small, it would mean the world to me and my family. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for caring. Your kindness truly gives us hope.

With gratitude,
Pauline (“Lorna”) Simpson
