Tragically, my sister Paula’s home burned down on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. She was trapped in her bedroom and had to be rescued and eventually med-flighted to UAB for severe smoke inhalation. She is improving and will hopefully be discharged from the hospital in the next couple of days.

Her home, all of her belongings, and her car were a complete loss. Sadly, her mama dog and puppies, her hamster, and her precious Daisy all died in the fire.

Physically, she is going to be okay, but she has a long emotional journey ahead of her. She will be able to stay with our mom when she gets out of the hospital, but she is going to need everything!

We are collecting donations to help meet her basic needs now, then help her rebuild her life and eventually get another car and a new home. If you are able and would like to contribute, any donation would be greatly appreciated.

Please also keep her in your prayers to completely heal from the smoke damage and recover from the emotional pain and loss.
