Help Support Paul Marshall's Fight Against Brain Cancer (Round 2)
Our family is asking for your support as we prepare to help our dad, Paul, through another round in his fight with brain cancer.
In May 2023, Paul was diagnosed suddenly and devastatingly with glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer. The diagnosis changed everything overnight. He underwent emergency brain surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible, followed by radiation, chemotherapy, and every natural and integrative therapy we could find. He even wore Optune, a device that delivers tumor-treating fields directly to the brain to help slow cancer cell division.
Against the odds and beating the statistics, Paul made incredible progress. For a while, there was no visible sign of cancer on his MRIs. We were deeply grateful for every moment of normalcy and every clear scan.
But at his latest MRI, we received the news we had hoped never to hear again: there is new tumor growth. It is small, but it is there.
We are preparing to start treatment again immediately. As many of you know, cancer care is expensive... not only the standard medical costs but also the travel to specialist appointments, ongoing scans, integrative and natural therapies, supportive treatments, equipment, and the day-to-day needs of caregiving.
Our family has poured everything we have into this fight once already. We are determined to do it again... but we can't do it alone.
If you know Paul, you know his huge heart. He is a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He's the guy who will give you the shirt off his back, lend a hand to anyone in need, and tell you a story that makes you laugh even on the hardest days. He's a beekeeper who loves the land and life's simplest joys.
We want to give him every chance we can.
Your donation will go directly toward:
• Medical costs not covered by insurance
• Travel to treatment and specialists
• Integrative, holistic, and supportive therapies
• Caregiving needs so he can focus on healing and being present with each other during this time
• Travel costs for his 6 children to spend time with him and go between their homes and being with him
• And whatever other costs arise during this time
If you can give, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you can't, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Paul in your thoughts and prayers. Every bit of help matters.
Thank you for being on this journey with us. We are so grateful for our community, for your love, and for standing with Paul as he faces this next chapter.
With love and gratitude,
The Paul Marshall Family
