Help Patchogue restaurants feed hospital workers
Donation protected
Several Patchogue restaurants are teaming up to deliver trays of food on a daily basis to hospital workers at Stony Brook and Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue. But the restaurants need your help. GreaterPatchogue is sponsoring fundraising efforts for the restaurants involved, to feed the frontline workers for as long as they can throughout the coronavirus crisis. The participating restaurants are as followed: PeraBell Food Bar, Donatina Neopolitan Café, Village Idiot Pub, Bobbique, That Meetball Place, Fulton's Gate, James Joyce, The Oar Steak & Seafood Grille, Hoshi Hibachi & Sushi, The Hero Joint, Arooga's and Kilwins Chocolates & Ice Cream. Money raised will cover the cost of food, delivery and paying the staffers. When the dust settles and things level off in the region, any money that is left over from the food and services will be donated to charity. These efforts are also designed to help local restaurants keep everything in motion during these unprecedented times. The funds will be directed to the Greater Patchogue Foundation, the chamber of commerce's nonprofit arm, and distributed accordingly be executive director David Kennedy.
