Supporting Pango Village: Resilience, Recovery, and Growth
Donation protected
Amid the challenges faced by Pango Village, we see a community standing strong with resilience and hope. While the media focuses on turmoil, the reality is that most of the nation remains operational, with its stunning natural beauty and the warm, joyous spirit of its people shining through. Vanuatu continues to be a beacon of happiness in the Pacific.
Our fundraising campaign is dedicated to supporting Pango Village to rebuild and future-proof the community. With the generous support of our partners and donors, we’ve outlined a plan to make a meaningful impact:
Essential Water Access: We aim to secure land for installing water tanks, with a local building company donating resources to construct the platforms.
- Community Pantry Tubs: Large portable tubs filled with dry goods like tinned food, rice, and hygiene products will provide immediate relief.
- Supporting Local Businesses: By purchasing reusable nappies and sanitary products from Mamma’s Laef, a local initiative led by Pango mothers, we not only meet urgent needs but also empower the greater Pango community.
- Medical Kits: Small but vital medical kits will be distributed to ensure basic healthcare is available.
- Volunteer-Led Distribution: With the help of dedicated volunteers, these resources will be packed and distributed efficiently.
The rains and a tropical low have added to the difficulties, but together, we can alleviate the hardships and help the Pango community rebuild stronger than before.
Our goal is to raise $30,000. Every additional dollar will enable us to extend our support to other Pango communities. This is about more than just recovery—it’s about empowering the people to thrive once again.
We also aim to restore confidence in Vanuatu as a safe and beautiful destination. To this end, we’re committing to a pro bono campaign to reignite tourism, showcasing the resilience of our people and the unmatched beauty of our islands.
Your support will bring hope and normalcy back to this incredible community. Let’s show the world what resilience truly looks like—together, we can make a difference.
Thank you for your generosity.
