I am creating this fundraiser for my children and me as we try to finally leave behind months of homelessness and living in a hotel. When we lost our stable housing, that hotel room became the only way I could keep a roof over my children’s heads. It was not a temporary convenience or anything easy. It became our home while I did everything I could to keep my children safe, fed, and sheltered, all while searching for a permanent place for us to live. After so much uncertainty, someone finally said yes, and we were approved for a rental home.

Now we are facing the final hurdle. We have only 72 hours to come up with the move-in funds needed to secure the rental and get the keys. These funds will help cover the move-in costs so we can leave the hotel and give my children the safe, stable home they have been waiting for. This is our chance to have bedrooms again, a kitchen again, and a place where we can finally unpack and breathe.
