Help Pam and Dave Brady after the Palisades fire

Hi everyone, the fires have been heartbreaking and devastating for thousands of people. And multiple fires keep popping up and expanding, with little containment in sight.

It’s extremely hard to ask for help, especially when so many people are in need each and every day. With that being said, my parents could use some help. They would never ask for help in their current situation, but they’re always the one to step up for us, other family members, friends, and strangers.

I’m their daughter Cathy and along with my brothers Steven and Mike are reaching out for them. Our parents, Pam and Dave Brady lost their home with all their belongings on Tuesday evening January 7th due to the Palisades fire. They moved to Malibu 25 years ago from our Santa Monica home, which had been in our family for generations.

They have been through many evacuations, and this time, they literally each packed one suitcase of clothes, took important documents, computer hard drives, medications, a few miscellaneous items, and then left in their vehicles. It all happened so quickly. Everything else had to be left behind so they could get out.

The road ahead is long and uncertain, but we know that with support, resilience, love, and faith, they can start to move forward.
